Invites
How do invites work?
Every account has its own invite link, on the Invite friends page. A family that joins through it starts with 2 extra discoveries. When their hero makes a first discovery, you get 3.
I got an invite on my phone. Where do I claim it?
Open the link in your phone’s web browser and make your account there, on the website. Your 2 discoveries go straight into that account. Then open the Orbit app and sign in with the same email: they are waiting for you there too, because it is one account everywhere.
Can I type an invite code into the iPhone app?
No. The app shares your link but never takes a code. Invites are claimed on the website, and everything they earn lands in the account you use in the app.
I already had an account. Can I still use a friend's link?
An invite is for a new family. It counts when the account is made through the link, within 72 hours, and before its first discovery.
When do I get my discoveries?
The moment your friend’s hero makes their first discovery. Until then they show on your Invite friends page as on the way.
Is there a limit?
You earn for up to 10 families a month. Past that, your friends still get their 2, every family still counts toward your keepsakes, and your own rewards start again on the first of the month.
Keepsakes
What is the trail?
A keepsake for every few families you bring along, and they stay yours for good. 3 families: Trail star. 5 families: Bonus worlds early. 10 families: Gold poster frame. 25 families: A ship of your own.
What if a friend deletes their account?
Nothing is taken back. A keepsake, once earned, is yours to keep.
Where do I see my Trail star?
A gold star beside your name on the Explorers board.
Bonus worlds
What is a bonus world?
A new story world that opens early. Orbit Monthly members, and explorers with the Bonus worlds early keepsake, can step in the day it arrives. Everyone else joins 30 days later, and the date is on the world’s poster.
Why isn't the bonus world on the map?
It joins the Orbit Universe map on the day it opens for everyone. Until then it has its own place at the top of the stories.
What happens if my membership ends during a bonus world?
The world waits for its opening day, and everything you did in it stays: the places you found, the stories you finished, and your name on every door you opened first.
